About Round Lake Treatment Centre

Round Lake Treatment Centre (RLTC) is an Indigenous-led residential treatment centre specializing in addictions and trauma recovery. Our approach is grounded in an Indigenous worldview that understands wellness as balance in mind, body, spirit, and emotions, and sees each person as part of a wider circle of family, community, and land. We are a trauma-informed organization that works to restore dignity, safety, and connection. All team members support recovery by modelling healthy boundaries, wellness practices, and respect in every interaction.

About the Role

The Receptionist is the first point of contact for everyone who walks through our doors. This role is about more than answering phones — it’s about helping people feel welcome, seen, and supported from the moment they arrive. You’ll keep the front office organized and provide day-to-day support to staff and managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist clients, families, and visitors with professionalism and care.
  • Manage phone, email, and in-person inquiries.
  • Provide administrative support to managers and staff, including data entry, correspondence, and mail distribution.
  • Maintain office supplies, equipment, and merchandise sales.
  • Support HR processes, event coordination, and staff communications.
  • Support financial tasks such as accounts payable/receivable, deposits, and petty cash.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and protect sensitive information at all times.
  • Work collaboratively across departments to support smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 education; post-secondary training in Office/Business Administration or related experience preferred.
  • 3–5 years of administrative, receptionist, or customer service experience (non-profit or health/social services experience an asset).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database systems; strong keyboarding skills.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Clear understanding of confidentiality and ethics in a treatment and recovery environment.
  • Awareness of Indigenous approaches to wellness and trauma-informed practice is an asset.

Confidentiality & Ethics

All staff at RLTC are entrusted with sensitive and personal information about clients, families, and one another. Because we are a residential treatment centre focused on addictions and trauma recovery, maintaining confidentiality is not only a legal and ethical responsibility — it is essential to creating safety and trust. Staff are expected to handle all information with discretion, maintain professional boundaries, and follow RLTC’s confidentiality policies at all times. Respect for privacy and confidentiality is understood as part of walking in a good way with others on their healing journeys.
