Celebrated its 35th Anniversary - 2014!
On September 6 and 7, 2014, Round Lake Treatment Centre celebrated its 35th Anniversary. “Honouring the Past, Celebrating the Present, Building the Future” was the theme for the celebrations. Hundreds of past clients, dignitaries and guests attended to enjoy a beautiful weekend – the weather was perfect!
Dignitaries who attended included: Chief Byron Louis - Okanagan Indian Band, Dr. Robert Sawatsky - Former Mayor of Vernon, Dawn Maddess - wife of Honouree Dr. Ralph Maddess, Ethel and JD Billy, Grand Chief Doug Kelly - First Nations Health Council, Howie Cyr - Mayor of Enderby, Janice Brown - Mayor of Spallumcheen, Jules Arnouse, Chris Pieper - Mayor of Armstrong, Richard Jock - First Nations Health Authority.
Round Lake Treatment Centre Board of Directors each welcomed honourees, dignitaries and guests to the ceremony.
George Leach and Smokey Hontus performed along with the Nuyamga’lis Cultural Group and the Okanagan Indian Band Youth Cultural Group.
